Where is your office located? Is the building accessible to people who use assistive devices?

The office is located inside the complex of The Glen at Lafayette Hill near the intersection of Ridge Pike and Joshua Road. The address is 555 Andorra Glen Court, Suite 6; Lafayette Hill, PA 19444.

Read more detailed information about Farfalla Integrative Health’s location.

The building is mostly accessible and has several accessible parking spots in the lot and a curb cut in front of the entrance. There are no steps to enter; however, the outside door doesn’t open automatically. The women’s and men’s restrooms both have accessible stalls. An all-gender bathroom is available, but a wheelchair won’t fit into that space.

Are any of your services covered by health insurance?

Your medical insurance may cover some of the services offered at Farfalla Integrative Health.

Occupational therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy is considered a covered service by most insurances as long as there is “medical necessity.” The definition of medical necessity is restrictive and often does not permit payment for important issues that affect quality of life, especially when it comes to outpatient therapy services. Check with your insurance company to see what your plan covers.

Regardless of your insurance coverage, Farfalla Integrative Health does not bill insurance companies, and payment for services is due upfront and in full prior to the start of each session. We will provide you with a superbill if you have out-of-network benefits on your policy and would like to submit to your insurance company on your own for possible reimbursement.

Myofascial release

In Pennsylvania, myofascial release can be performed as part of an occupational therapy plan of care. See the information above about occupational therapy and insurance.

Please note that some insurance policies companies do not pay for myofascial release even as part of a therapy plan of care. Check with your insurance company for details about your individual policy.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping) and Acupressure

EFT tapping and acupressure generally are considered non-covered services by insurance companies, although it never hurts to call your insurance company to check about your specific policy.

Are you in-network with any insurance companies for occupational therapy? Do you take Medicare?

Farfalla Integrative Health is an out-of-network provider for occupational therapy (OT). This means we do not contract directly with insurance companies. Payment for services is due upfront and in full prior to the start of every session.

However, if you have out-of-network benefits on your insurance policy, we will provide you with superbills (i.e., detailed receipts) for your OT sessions, and you may be able to submit for partial reimbursement from your insurance company.

Your amount of potential reimbursement depends on the terms of your individual policy.  This worksheet can help guide your conversation with the insurance company about your policy’s details and any reimbursement requirements.

The decision to not contract with insurance companies was not made lightly. It stems from a commitment to practice with integrity and be able to provide you with the highest quality of care.

The biggest benefit to working with an out-of-network provider is that the insurance company can no longer dictate or limit your treatment options.

Without insurance interference, we are free to use whatever therapeutic approaches best meet your needs and can make appropriate decisions about the type, frequency, and length of services so you get the best care possible.

Medicare and Medicaid: Due to current federal law restrictions, Farfalla Integrative Health cannot provide occupational therapy services to Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries even if you are willing to pay out of pocket. These restrictions hopefully will change within the next year.

Will you provide superbills if I plan to submit claims to my insurance company?

Yes. A superbill will be given or sent to you after each session takes place.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes your diagnosis code, treatment codes, billing charges, and the amount you paid for services. It is usually required for out-of-network reimbursement claims, although every plan is different. Contact your insurance company for information about its out-of-network reimbursement requirements.

Can I use HSA or FSA funds to pay for services?

Occupational therapy services can be paid for using funds from health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA).

Acupressure, EFT tapping, and myofascial release services may be eligible for reimbursement from HSA or FSA funds depending on your plan. You may need to obtain a letter of medical necessity from your doctor for the expense to be covered. Check with the organization that manages your HSA or FSA for details.

What if I want to try a different type of service after our first visit? Will I have to do another new client session?

A second “new client” session would be needed only if you are being seen for EFT or acupressure and decide you want an occupational therapy evaluation and/or myofascial release services. In that case, an initial occupational therapy evaluation would be necessary to comply with Pennsylvania law.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no magic formula to determine how many sessions you’ll need or how often those sessions should take place.

Sometimes specific issues that are narrow in scope can be addressed in one or two sessions.

Some types of issues benefit from a small number of sessions spaced out over a longer timeframe.

Complex or long-standing issues typically require multiple sessions on a more consistent basis to get the best outcomes.

We’ll discuss your situation and, together, come up with a plan that works best for you.

How much does a session cost?

Prices vary depending on the type of session. See the pricing page for details.

What is a Good Faith Estimate, and how can I receive one?

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your occupational therapy services will cost if you choose to work with Farfalla Integrative Health.

  • Under federal law, health care providers need to give an estimate of the total expected charges for health care services to clients who either are uninsured or who are electing not to use their insurance for services.
  • The estimate needs to be given before services are provided. You have the right to ask for this estimate before scheduling services. Farfalla Integrative Health is transparent with pricing, and you can find the cost of each type of session on the website’s services menu under “pricing.”
  • After your initial evaluation, you will receive a written Good Faith Estimate of total expected out-of-pocket costs based on what your projected plan of care would be if you decide to use Farfalla Integrative Health as your occupational therapy provider.
  • The law states that if you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
