Welcome to Farfalla Integrative Health, the private practice of Christine McDevitt, MS, OTR/L.
Christine helps active adults dealing with persistent (and often unexplained) symptoms function at their best so they feel like themselves again.
Services include occupational therapy, Clinical EFT tapping, myofascial release (John Barnes method) and acupressure.
In-person appointments are available in Lafayette Hill, PA, serving the Greater Philadelphia area. Some services can take place virtually, with EFT tapping services available worldwide.
If you have questions about your situation, you’re welcome to schedule a time to discuss what options might be right for you.
Are you still not where you hoped you’d be after an illness, injury, or difficult life event?
For some people, recovery doesn’t unfold the way they expected. Even when tests are normal and therapy or treatments helped somewhat, something can still feel off and affect how you go about your daily life.
You are not alone. This is a common situation for people who come to Farfalla Integrative Health.
Below are some types of concerns seen at this practice that may feel familiar to you.
Persistent symptoms that affect how you go about your day
- You appear to be functioning well enough on the outside but feel exhausted by the effort it takes to keep everything together.
- You’re dealing with ongoing symptoms such as pain, fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, abnormal sensations, or movement limitations.
- Your challenges seem to fall between the physical and emotional as if one piece feeds the other and creates an endless, frustrating loop.
Disproportionate emotional reactions in specific situations
- You have anxiety, emotional reactions, or strong avoidance patterns related to specific people, tasks, or environments.
- You struggle with memories that negatively affect how you think, act, or function in your daily life.
Difficulty returning to full participation in daily life
- You haven’t fully returned to your normal routine because of lingering physical or emotional concerns.
- You received medical care, rehab, and/or psychotherapy that helped to some degree, but you’re still not where you want to be.
- You’ve had enough of talking and analysis and want practical ways to change things for the better.
If you’re unsure about your specific circumstances, you can schedule a time to discuss your needs and situation.
An Integrative Approach When Your Symptoms Don’t Fit Neatly Into One Category
Because persistent or chronic issues have multiple layers that need attention, the way we address those layers matters.
Your symptoms might be physical, emotional, cognitive, or some combination of these, and they often influence one another in ways that make progress slower than you want.
It’s important to deal with the right pieces at the right time and in the right sequence for you so you make progress without your system feeling overwhelmed.
At Farfalla Integrative Health, the goal is to find a path forward that’s manageable and sustainable long-term, even when multiple factors are involved, so you feel and function better in the activities that are most important to you.
It’s possible to move forward, and you don’t have to do it alone.
How This Work Is Different
Farfalla Integrative Health views your challenges through the lens of everyday function.
The focus is on how physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors interact in real life instead of treating them as separate problems.
In this way, care is tailored more precisely to what’s driving your current situation so you can make meaningful progress in the areas of your life that matter most to you.
This approach tends to work best for people who are motivated to actively participate in their care.
If this feels aligned with what you’re looking for, you can explore services or schedule a brief phone call or video chat to discuss options for working together.
While emotional and nervous system regulation may be included in your care when relevant, Farfalla Integrative Health does not provide psychotherapy.

Services
Services Offered at Farfalla Integrative Health
You don’t need to know the “right” service. We can figure that out together over a phone call or video chat if needed before you schedule any appointments.
No matter how you begin, all services are designed to help you feel and function better in your everyday life.
Occupational Therapy
- Occupational therapy helps you find solutions for the specific activities you’re struggling with so you can do the things that matter to you with greater ease and success.
- Sessions may incorporate activity-based strategies, nervous system regulation techniques, or hands-on/body-based methods as appropriate.
- Available in person or virtually for residents of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Myofascial Release (John Barnes method)
- Myofascial release is a body-based method that loosens restrictions in the fascia (a type of connective tissue) to help reduce pain and movement limitations.
- Farfalla Integrative Health uses the John Barnes method for all myofascial release services. This is a whole-body approach that’s different from standard massage or trigger point therapy.
- Myofascial release is provided under occupational therapy services.
- Available in person only.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT Tapping)
- EFT tapping is an evidence-informed, mind-body process that supports nervous system regulation and reduces the emotional intensity of sensations, memories, or thoughts that you find distressing.
- EFT tapping is not traditional talk therapy.
- Available in person (in Lafayette Hill, PA) or virtually (worldwide).
Acupressure
- Acupressure is a gentle, non-invasive, body-based method that can help balance your system and reduce physical or emotional tension.
- You can book acupressure as a stand-alone service or integrated with other care when appropriate.
- Available in person (in Lafayette Hill, PA) or virtually.
