Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping)

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as tapping, is an evidence-based, mind-body method that helps get to the roots of a stuck issue at the nervous system level.

In some ways, dealing with an issue that feels stuck is like using a computer that’s not doing what you want it to do. Talking to the computer doesn’t make it work better. To get the results you want, you have to change the programming inside the device.

The relationship between your brain, thoughts, emotions, physical health, and actions works the same way. One of the easiest and most effective ways to alter this relationship is using Emotional Freedom Techniques.

EFT involves stimulating acupuncture points (by lightly tapping on them) while focusing on an aspect of a memory, thought, emotion, or body sensation in a specific way.

This process changes your brain’s programmed responses to those aspects.

Once changed, you can create different results when dealing with an unwanted issue or pattern.

EFT tapping is an excellent process for helping address what’s keeping you from getting to the other side of stuck – even if you have no idea what that might be.

Clearing the interference can lead to changes in your body’s biochemistry, your perspective on your situation, and your capacity to make different choices in your life.

There are over 100 clinical studies showing tapping to be an effective way to help deal with issues that can be difficult to resolve.

An important point: this is not about “fixing” you.

EFT is not psychotherapy, counseling, or medical care, and it’s not a cure-all. It is, however, an effective complement to any care you may be receiving, especially if conventional methods alone aren’t working as well as you’d hoped.
