Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational therapy helps you find solutions in the areas of your life where you’re struggling to successfully do the things you need or want to do such as

  • personal care tasks,
  • managing your household or finances,
  • driving,
  • returning to work,
  • shopping,
  • going out with friends and family.

In occupational therapy, we assess your strengths and challenge areas in relation to those life activities. We then work to improve that fit to help make things easier so you feel good about the way you do the things that are most important to you.

Christine is licensed to provide occupational therapy in person and via telehealth in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping)

EFT tapping is a mind-body approach that reduces the emotional intensity on sensations, memories, or thoughts that you find distressing. It is not counseling or talk therapy.

EFT tapping affects the way your brain processes information and helps regulate your nervous system so you feel calmer and less triggered when thinking about negative experiences. As a result, the way those experiences live inside you feels different moving forward.

Research has found clinical EFT tapping to be helpful for addressing traumatic memories as well as cravings, anxiety, and emotional factors that may be contributing to physical symptoms.

Christine is an accredited, certified advanced clinical EFT practitioner with EFT International.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is a type of connective tissue. Myofascial release is a body-based method that helps loosen fascial restrictions that can form as a result of surgery, an accident, an injury, or even poor posture.

Myofascial release sessions help to gently unbind restricted tissue and release unconscious bracing patterns or trauma that has been held in the body so you can move with greater ease and less pain.

Christine has extensive training in the John Barnes method of myofascial release, a whole-body approach that is very different from standard massage or trigger point therapy.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a gentle, non-invasive approach that helps balance the flows of energy in the body. It is similar to acupuncture, but no needles are involved.

Acupressure can help keep your body’s physiology in a state of self-repair. Acupressure often can be helpful when you’re experiencing a set of symptoms (physical and/or emotional) that don’t make sense from a Western medicine point of view.

Christine has Clinical Acupressure certification through Insight Acupressure.
