Can I have EFT and acupressure in the same session?

What if I want to try a different modality after our first visit? Will I have to do another new client session?

I’m not sure which modality would be best for me for my first session. What should I consider when choosing between EFT tapping and acupressure?

Can I have EFT and acupressure in the same session?

Generally, we focus on one modality per session.

There may be exceptions to this on occasion. For example, if holding a few acupressure points would help with symptom relief during an EFT session, we could take some time to do that.

No. The new client visit includes an overall assessment of your situation and only needs to happen once.

It’s okay if you’re not sure which modality might be best to use on your initial visit. You can always schedule a free consultation to discuss it first if you’d like.

That being said, here are some general guidelines:

  • If you suspect that your problem (even if it’s physical) has an emotional or traumatic component contributing to it not resolving, tapping might be better to start.
  • If you feel like your system needs an overall rebalancing OR you’re not sure if there is an emotional factor involved, then acupressure might be better initially.
